Homemade Clues

One phone, two teams. Bid low, clue smart.

Both teams see the same secret word, then secretly bid how few one-word clues they'll need to get their team there. The lowest bid wins the hand — but has to deliver. Fall short and the other team can pounce, stealing the word from the clues already given. Bid bold, clue sharp, and race to the target score.

How a round works

1

See the word

Each team picks a clue-giver. Both clue-givers secretly see the same hidden word — no one else looks.

2

Bid in secret

Each clue-giver privately bids how few one-word clues they'd need, blind to the other's number. The lower bid wins the hand — a tie is settled by a quick draw.

3

Give your clues

One single word at a time, never the secret word. Your team guesses after each clue. Reach the word within your bid and you score a point.

4

…or lose it to a steal

Fall short and the other team gets one shot from the clues already given: gamble for two points, or take a safe one. Bid too low and you'll hand them the lead.
